Dr. Martelli has experience in population-based research utilizing health administrative datasets. Her master’s thesis involved analyzing data from ICES to measure the prevalence and predictors of obstructive sleep apnea in patients who underwent bariatric surgery, along with assessing the associated healthcare utilization costs. Currently, she is spearheading a project funded by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's Focused Projects Grant for Junior Investigators, aiming to evaluate preference-based health utility instruments for patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
