Biography

Vanessa Raymont is an Associate Professor and R&D Director at the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. She has over 25 years of experience in clinical trials in the UK, focusing on traumatic brain injury and memory disorders, including dementia. She serves as the Principal Investigator for the Synaptic Health Neurodegeneration (SHINE) and Brains Dementia Research (BDR) studies, as well as multiple commercial dementia clinical trials. Additionally, she is the Chief Investigator for the NIHR-funded Deep Frequent Phenotyping (DFP) study, which assesses the use of sertraline to prevent post-head injury depression. Raymont also co-leads the REAl world Dementia OUTcomes (READ-OUT) blood biomarker study, part of the Alzheimer's Research UK Blood Biomarker Challenge. She is an associate director of Dementia Platforms UK, leading the Trials Delivery Framework workstream. Furthermore, she serves as a Commissioner on the Commission on Human Medicines and co-Deputy Chair of the NIHR Dementia Translational Research Collaboration.
