Biography

Vanessa Roveto is a poet and filmmaker who holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film/Video from the University of California, San Diego and an M.F.A. in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Roveto has received prestigious honors, including the MacDowell Fellowship, showcasing her contributions to the literary arts. As a Visiting Critic at Cornell's Department of Art, she will teach in the summer and fall of 2025, facilitating student engagement with contemporary poetic practices.
