Biography

Vareska van de Vrande is a Professor of Collaborative Innovation and Business Venturing at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She joined RSM in 2007 after completing her PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management Science at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research focuses on corporate venturing, collaborative innovation, external technology sourcing, corporate venture capital investments, strategic alliances, and corporate-startup collaboration. She has published in leading academic journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, and Journal of Operations Management. Additionally, Vareska is a co-founder of the Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Community, which serves as a platform for academics and practitioners to exchange insights in the field. She is also an academic lead at Erasmus Enterprise and actively involved with the YES!Delft incubator.
