Biography

Vassiliki Kolocotroni is a Professor in Modernist Studies at the University of Glasgow's School of Critical Studies. Her research primarily focuses on international modernism, avant-garde movements, classical reception, and the intersection of visual art and literature. She has edited significant publications such as the 'Modernism: Anthology Sources Documents' and contributed to the 'Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism.' Kolocotroni has written extensively on modernism, discussing major figures and their influences including Proust, Woolf, and Freud, and has explored themes of transcultural encounters.
