Biography

Vassiliki Pravodelov, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine within the Department of Medicine, specializing in Geriatrics. Having undergone extensive training through medical school, residency, and fellowship at Boston University and Boston Medical Center, she has developed a profound understanding of the social determinants of health (SDOH) and how they challenge patient care. Her practice focuses on primary care for older adults, addressing important issues such as polypharmacy, safe opioid prescribing, and evidence-based medical education. Through her role, she mentors medical students and residents, aiming to cultivate compassionate clinicians who are aware of the biases faced by elderly patients. Pravodelov has presented at various national meetings and has taken leadership roles in organizations such as the American Geriatrics Society.
