Biography

Vaughn W. M. Watson is an associate professor in Secondary English Education. His research focuses on creative artistic literacy and language learning practices within Black African immigrant youth in educational contexts and communities of the global African Diaspora. He is the author of "Educating African Immigrant Youth: Schooling Civic Engagement K–12 Schools" published by Teachers College Press in June 2024, and co-edited a work with Michelle Knight-Manuel and Patriann Smith.
