Biography

Vernon Buck is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, where he has served since 1968. He earned his PhD and MS from Cornell University in 1963 and 1960 respectively, and a BA from Yale University in 1956. His academic career includes positions as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at Yale University from 1961-1958 and has experience in Personnel Labor Relations at General Mills in 1956-1958. He has been a Visiting Professor at IMD in Switzerland. His research interests focus on work stress and mental health of employees. Some of his selected publications include works on job stress, evaluation of continuing education professionals, and the impact of working pressure on employees. Buck has also contributed to the academic community as Faculty Director of the Executive MBA Program and Director of the Doctoral Program at the University of Washington School of Business.
