Biography

Veronica S. Young is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She serves as the Director of Interprofessional Education and Community Engagement, as well as the founding Director of the Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education. Dr. Young obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital followed by a specialty practice residency in drug information at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She also earned a Master of Public Health degree from the UT Houston School of Public Health. Her work is dedicated to integrating interprofessional education within the healthcare community, focusing on patient safety, quality improvement, and population health. She is a key member of the Texas Interprofessional Education Consortium and has received multiple awards for her teaching effectiveness and commitment to fostering collaborative care.
