Dr. Vibe Ulfbeck

Biography

Vibe Garf Ulfbeck is a Professor at the Centre for Private Governance at the University of Copenhagen. His primary fields of research include Tort Law, Contract Law, and Maritime Law, with a focus on private governance perspectives. Currently, Ulfbeck is leading a significant research project on 'Private Governance', which examines the roles of private actors in public contexts. His research interests also encompass private law aspects within governance frameworks, particularly relating to supply chains and corporate liability in ensuring sustainability goals. Additionally, Ulfbeck has been involved in supervising PhD projects addressing various legal issues within these areas. He has published extensively, including books and articles on responsibilities and liabilities related to Arctic activities, as well as issues concerning supply chain liability and private governance systems. Ulfbeck's recent activities include lectures and contributions to workshops focused on the implications of private governance for sustainability in shipping and logistics.
