Dr. Vibhu Paudyal

Biography

Professor Vibhu Paudyal is a leading researcher and educator in Health Services Research and Inequalities at King's College London. His research focuses on understanding and mitigating inequalities faced by people with multiple severe disadvantages, particularly those experiencing homelessness. He leads a UK NIHR-funded trial aimed at testing a model of care that integrates health and social support for this vulnerable population. His work highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and co-production, engaging patients and service users in designing and delivering research. Vibhu has collaborated internationally, particularly in South Asia, to promote access to treatments for pain and substance use disorders, as well as addressing blood-borne viruses. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (FESCP) and has served as the Chair of the Research Committee for the organization. As an educator, he has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in healthcare and has supervised 12 PhD students, actively contributing to the academic community through co-editing books and publishing over 120 peer-reviewed research papers. His research interests include health inequalities, mental health, substance misuse, homelessness, global health, and promoting access to evidence-based medical services in emerging economies.
