Dr. Vicki Johansson

Biography

Vicki Johansson is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg. She earned her doctorate in Political Science in 1997 and became an Associate Professor in Public Administration in 2006. Her research has focused on several key areas including local politics and administration, local gender power dynamics, audit and inspection, risk management, and decision-making processes. Vicki has led numerous research projects spanning various topics such as democracy changes, gender in local labor markets, and political leadership in European cities. As a coordinator of interdisciplinary collaboration, she is actively involved in research networks and frequently lectures at conferences. In addition to her research, Vicki teaches at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, emphasizing quantitative methods, organization theory, and gender studies. She has supervised ten doctoral theses and has contributed to both education and learning initiatives.
