Biography

Vickie Martin is a Gynecologic Oncologist at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (Saskatoon Site). She is actively involved in residency education and completed her Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. Vickie has been a key figure in residency training, becoming the Gynecologic Oncology representative on the Residency Postgraduate Committee (RPC) and serving as the Undergraduate representative. In recognition of her teaching excellence, Vickie received the Residency Doctors Saskatchewan Excellence in Teaching Award in 2023, as well as the Dr. David Popkin Teaching Award. Currently, she is the Saskatoon Site Lead for Gynecology Oncology and is a member of the Quality Improvement Committee for Gynecologic Oncology. Her medical interests include Genetics, Gynecological Malignancies, Low-Grade Ovarian Cancer, Fertility Sparing Treatment, and Low-Grade Endometrial Cancers. Vickie has been involved in various clinical trials, acting as the Principal Investigator for several studies, including those involving randomized trials for treatment approaches in gynecological cancers.
