Biography

Victor Agboga studies elections, political parties, and voting behavior in Africa. His PhD thesis interrogates how African voters respond to party switching by elected representatives. His current research delves into political behavior and party politics in Africa, highlighting key issues such as climate change and gender. Before joining the London School of Economics (LSE), he served as a Senior Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick. Agboga holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Warwick, an MSc in African Development from LSE, an MA in Governance and Development from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, and a BA in Philosophy from Imo State University in Nigeria. His research interests include African Politics, Elections, Political Parties, and Voting Behavior.
