Biography

Victor Agmo Hernandez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Uppsala University. With a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Sciences from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico, completed in December 2002, he has garnered valuable industry experience at CEMEX, Mexico. In 2004, he relocated to Germany for PhD studies at the University of Greifswald, where he earned a Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry in 2008. His thesis focused on the adhesion mechanisms of giant unilamellar vesicles on mercury electrodes. Following his doctorate, he joined Uppsala University for postdoctoral research in physical chemistry, concentrating on lipid membranes' behavior. He became an Associate Professor in 2014, continuing his research on self-associated lipid systems and surface chemistry using surface-sensitive techniques, electrochemical methods, and nanogravimetric methods to study lipid-modified substrates and their interactions with membranes, peptides, proteins, and inorganic materials.
