Dr. Victor Falgas Ravry

Biography

Victor Falgas Ravry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at Umeå University. His research primarily explores extremal combinatorics and discrete probability, with a focus on optimization problems within these areas. He has an extensive academic history that includes a Master's degree from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of London. He has held positions such as a Kempe research fellow at Umeå University and assistant professor at Vanderbilt University. In 2016, he became an Associate Professor at Umeå University, where he is also involved in supervising research internships and theses. Ravry’s work particularly emphasizes understanding random graph models to better comprehend the behavior of real-world networks. His research has received funding from the Swedish Research Council, and he actively participates in organizing workshops in his field.
