Dr. Victor Ferreres

Biography

Victor Ferreres is a visiting professor of constitutional law from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. His work has focused on constitutional courts, fundamental rights, European supranational structures, and international law arbitration. Ferreres has served on the editorial board of the International Journal of Constitutional Law and is a member of the organizing committee for SELA (Seminario en Latinoamérica de Teoría Constitucional y Política), an annual event that brings together scholars from Yale Law School and Latin American universities. He has authored several significant works, including 'Constitution Arbitration' published by Cambridge University Press in 2021 and 'Constitution Spain: Contextual Analysis' by Hart Publishing in 2013. His academic contributions also include 'Constitutional Courts and Democratic Values: A European Perspective', published by Yale University Press in 2009, and various works in both Spanish and English. Ferreres has had teaching appointments at New York University School of Law and has been affiliated with the University of Texas School of Law for multiple terms, alongside a decade-long role in training Spanish judges at the Spanish Judicial School.
