Dr. Victor Gold

Biography

Victor Gold is a Senior Scholar at UCLA School of Law, specializing in teaching Contracts and Evidence. He has retired in 2025 after a distinguished career spanning over forty years at Loyola Law School, where he served as the sixteenth Dean and held the title of Loyola William H. Hannon Professor of Law. Prior to his tenure at Loyola, Gold was a Professor of Law at Arizona State University College of Law and worked as an attorney at Nossaman LLP in Los Angeles, from which he declined a partnership to pursue his teaching career. He obtained a B.A. cum laude from UCLA and later received his J.D. from the same institution, graduating Order of the Coif and serving as Comment Editor for the UCLA Law Review. Gold has also worked as a Legal Consultant for CBS News and was a Visiting Fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge University. Throughout his career, he has taught Contracts and Evidence for BARBRI and has published six books on Evidence law, contributing to multiple editions over the years.
