Dr. Victor Johansson

Biography

Victor Johansson is an Associate Professor at Linköping University, specializing in the development of population models that simulate future population persistence scenarios with a focus on climate change management. His research interests lie primarily in landscape (meta)population ecology and its applications in conservation. Johansson's work includes detailed investigations into colonization-extinction dynamics, dispersal, and the persistence of sessile species such as lichens, mosses, fungi, and vascular plants. Recently, he has increased his focus on the dynamics of pollinators and the impacts of extreme weather on the population dynamics of butterflies and other grazing species. His research is divided equally between Linköping University and Calluna AB, where he contributes significantly to advancing the understanding of population dynamics in changing environments.
