Biography

Dr. Victor Kokta is a pathologist and researcher at CHU Ste-Justine. He has provided expertise in pediatric melanocytic tumors, including Spitz nevi and pediatric melanomas, as well as pediatric vascular tumors/malformations. He completed his medical training at the University of Sherbrooke, specialize in anatomical pathology at the University of Montreal, and further subspecialized in adult and pediatric dermatopathology at New-York Presbyterian - University Hospitals Columbia Cornell under the supervision of Dr. N. Scott McNutt and Dr. Klauss Busam, graduating in 2001. He has received recognition for his research, including the first prize for a presentation on "Insulin increases intracellular free calcium heart cardiovascular muscle cells" at a diabetes research symposium at Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1991.
