Dr. Victoria Coaloa

Biography

Victoria Coaloa is a designer and educator specializing in architecture and urbanism. Currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California, she teaches advanced core design studios for both graduate and undergraduate programs. Victoria holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and has furthered her studies in a master class led by Wolf Prix at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. With a background at Coop-Himmelb(l)au, she has returned to Los Angeles, focusing on large-scale institutional and mixed-use projects. Her research interests center on emergent housing typologies and their relationship with urban density, the evolving structure of contemporary families, and the microeconomic forces shaping cities. She emphasizes a multi-disciplinary approach, conducting collaborative projects that challenge conventional architectural narratives. Victoria is also a visiting professor with an emphasis on architecture and landscape urbanism in various programs across Asia.
