Biography

Victoria Esparo is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Connecticut. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in general medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2012 and joined Yale’s Rheumatology Section in 2017. Victoria specializes in helping patients understand inflammatory conditions and their treatments, with a particular interest in gout management. She runs the Crystalline Arthritis Clinic, focusing on the management of gout and pseudogout, and works collaboratively with rheumatology attending physicians to manage a wide range of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Her favorite part of the job is witnessing patients respond to treatment and seeing improvements in their physical function and quality of life. Victoria enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients as they navigate their conditions over time.
