Biography

Victoria Inman is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Ecosystem Science. She collaborates closely with Bush Heritage Australia, leading and coordinating research design, implementation, and analysis of ecosystem monitoring using drones. Her current research project aims to compare and evaluate approaches to vegetation assessment, focusing on accuracy, time, cost, expertise, data management, and long-term monitoring potential. In her previous roles, Victoria worked with the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment Water, and the Department of Planning and Environment as a Spatial Scientist, supporting the regional delivery of the Koala Strategy. Additionally, she led post-bushfire koala surveys with Science Wildlife, an NGO focused on koala conservation. Victoria holds a PhD in which she examined the impact of changing water availability on the vegetation resources of hippopotamus in northern Botswana.
