Biography

Victoria researches and teaches in the area of mission studies and the history of theology. Her PhD explored mission organisations, particularly the Iona Community Council World Mission (previously known as the London Missionary Society), focusing on how these organisations reacted and adapted to contextual theological shifts in the 20th Century. Her work thus explores the intersections of class, poverty, decolonisation, and ecumenism within global theology. Additionally, Victoria writes and publishes in popular and political liberation theology, contributing significantly to the discourse in these areas. She has lectured in Melbourne, Australia, and at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and has preached across the UK. Victoria has also tutored at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Stirling and spent time at Westminster College in Cambridge before joining the faculty at Ripon College Cuddesdon. She holds a national role in the United Reformed Church and is actively involved in ecumenical activities with bodies such as Churches Together in England and the Council for World Mission.
