Vijayananda Kundapur is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. He earned his M.Sc. in Microbiology from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, followed by an M.S. in Cell Biology from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He also completed a Clinical Microbiology Fellowship (ABMM) at the University of Utah/ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2021. His research areas include Infectious Disease Diagnostics, Molecular Diagnostics, Virology, Microbiology, and Lab Utilization Diagnostics, particularly addressing barriers in rural areas.
