Dr. Viken Babikian

Biography

Viken L. Babikian, MD, is a Professor at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine specializing in Neurology. With a robust background from American University of Beirut where he earned both his MD and BS degrees, Dr. Babikian's expertise and research interests focus on cerebrovascular disorders, acute and chronic stroke treatment, neuroimaging, patient care, and clinical trials. He has been the principal investigator for numerous clinical studies, including significant randomized trials evaluating stroke treatments. Dr. Babikian is actively involved in various research initiatives and has contributed to multiple high-impact publications in his field. His role includes mentoring young researchers and leading projects that bridge the gap between clinical practice and innovative treatment approaches for neurological conditions. He continues to explore new methodologies and therapeutic strategies to improve patient outcomes in neurology.
