Dr. Vinay Aggarwal

Biography

Vinay K. Aggarwal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Program Director of the Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstruction for both adults and children. Dr. Aggarwal completed his fellowship at Stanford University Hospital and his residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on partial and total hip and knee replacement surgeries, as well as minimally invasive techniques and rapid-recovery protocols. He has made significant contributions to orthopedic research, particularly in improving patient outcomes and minimizing complications associated with total joint replacement surgery. Dr. Aggarwal has received several prestigious awards, including the Frank Stinchfield Award and the Chitranjan S. Ranawat, MD, Award from the Hip Society and Knee Society, respectively. He is dedicated to teaching and effective communication, which earned him the Ralph Phyllis Lusskin Resident Teaching Award. His research interests include robotic joint replacement and patient satisfaction in total joint arthroplasty. Dr. Aggarwal is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
