Biography

Vinayak P. Dravid is a Joint Professor of Materials Science Engineering at Northwestern University and holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Chemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. from Lehigh University in 1990 and his Bachelor of Science from IIT Bombay in 1984. Dravid is also the Abraham Harris Professor in Materials Science Engineering and serves as the Founding Director of the Soft Hybrid Nanotechnology Experimental (SHyNE) Resource, which is part of the NSF-NNCI Node. His research focuses on the atomic nanoscale characterization and application of soft hybrid nanotechnologies.
