Biography

Vincent Blok is a Dutch philosopher and working professor at the Erasmus School of Philosophy, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He received his PhD in philosophy from Leiden University, specializing in the philosophy of technology. Blok's research interests include the meaning of disruptive technologies in relation to the human condition and environmental studies, approached from a continental philosophical perspective. His works address themes of philosophical ecology and the challenges facing our planet. Blok has published more than a hundred articles in both disciplinary and multidisciplinary journals, such as 'Philosophy & Technology' and 'Science.'
