Vincent Heuveline studied Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science at the University of Caen in France and the University of Würzburg in Germany. Following his habilitation in Mathematics at Heidelberg University in 2002, he became a professor at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2004. His research interests encompass uncertainty quantification, scientific computing, high-performance data-intensive computing, and software engineering, with a primary focus on applications in medical engineering. In addition, he lectures on scientific computing and is actively involved in teaching IT security. He also serves on the program committee for international conferences in high-performance scientific computing and has been widely consulted by industry for the deployment of numerical simulations and cloud computing security in industrial contexts.
