Biography

Vincent Vargas is a French mathematician and associate professor at the University of Geneva. He obtained his doctorate in mathematics from Paris-Diderot University under the supervision of Francis Comets. After holding a research position at the CNRS, he joined the University of Geneva in 2021. His research primarily focuses on Gaussian multiplicative chaos and Liouville quantum gravity. He has notably contributed to the rigorous probabilistic construction of Liouville theory and the proof of the DOZZ formula. His work has been featured in a major article in Quanta Magazine.
