Vincent Wong joined the University of Windsor Faculty of Law as an Assistant Professor in 2022. He is a PhD Candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School, where his dissertation focuses on how racial capitalism processes produce structures of unfree and status-excluded labor in Canada. He serves on the board of the Community Justice Collective in Tkaronto. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School, where he was a Human Rights Fellow and a James Kent Scholar. His research emphasizes the intersection of law and political economy, particularly in relation to migration, race, and markets. He has a keen interest in Canadian context-specific critical race theory and how it informs anti-racist and intersectional lawyering practices. Vincent is also interested in critical frameworks of law and political economy as they pertain to the understanding of the emerging hub of the 21st century global economic order, particularly concerning China. Before entering academia, he worked as a Staff Lawyer at the Chinese Southeast Asian Legal Clinic and served as Secretary for the Chinese Canadian National Council's Toronto Chapter.
