Vincenzo Savona studied physics at the Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa. He completed his PhD at EPFL's Institute of Theoretical Physics, followed by post-doctoral work at the EPFL Physics Department and Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2002, he returned to EPFL to establish his own research group with a 'professeur boursier' fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation.
