Dr. Vinod Srihari

Biography

Vinod H. Srihari focuses on improving outcomes in the early course of schizophrenia spectrum disorders. His research interests span the translational continuum, including studies on etiology, pathophysiology, interventions, and clinical samples, alongside service-level innovations. As the Director of the STEP Program, he leads efforts to connect research missions with service delivery, incorporating innovative models like the STEP Clinic and disseminating clinical practices through Learning Health Networks. Dr. Srihari's work also emphasizes education and workforce development to influence policies supporting public health missions related to early intervention in schizophrenia. His curricular activities include developing and implementing an Evidence-Based Medicine approach that enables psychiatrists to effectively integrate scientific evidence into practice. Additionally, he consults with both academic and non-academic healthcare systems to establish and refine services for early intervention in recent-onset psychosis.
