Vinzenz Koning is an Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. His research focuses on energy system modeling and energy technology assessment. He utilizes a wide array of computational models, including optimization models, agent-based models, and machine learning models, to analyze various aspects and make scenarios pertaining to the energy transition. Specifically, his work examines themes such as the analysis of behavior and decision-making in the integration of energy models, the role of green hydrogen within future energy systems, and the interconnections between transformations in materials production and the energy system.
