Biography

Vivek Krishnamurthy is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Law School and an Associate Member at the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Law, Technology and Society. His research and clinical legal practice focus on complex regulatory and human rights-related challenges arising in cyberspace. He is actively involved in advising governments, activists, and companies on the human rights impacts of new technologies and is a frequent public commentator on emerging technology and public policy issues. He has previously served as an Assistant Director at Harvard Law School’s Cyberlaw Clinic and as Counsel in the Corporate Social Responsibility Practice at Foley Hoag LLP. Currently, he is a Fellow of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and a Faculty Associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. He also holds a Senior Associate position at the Human Rights Initiative at the Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington, D.C. Krishnamurthy is a Rhodes Scholar and clerked for Hon. Morris J. Fish at the Supreme Court of Canada after graduating from Yale Law School.
