Dr. Vivek Maheshwari

Biography

Vivek Maheshwari's research focuses on the synthesis and assembly of nano-materials aimed at developing materials with properties applicable in the development of new electronic devices, sensors, and integration with cells at electronic interfaces. The work presents a threefold challenge: the synthesis and assembly of nano-materials, interfacing these materials to build cellular electronic devices, and ultimately testing and analyzing the devices for further research applications. His distinguished research interests include various innovative fields like cell-inorganic composites, multi-functional materials for devices, nanoscale electrodes, wearable sensors, and energy materials, highlighting advancements in smart and renewable energy systems. With a solid educational background including a PhD in Chemistry from Virginia Tech, a MSc from Wayne State University, and a BSc from the Indian Institute of Technology, Maheshwari has contributed significantly to the field through his research and publications. He has also been recognized with awards like the Early Researcher Award from the Province of Ontario and has served in various representative roles at the University of Waterloo's Department of Chemistry.
