Biography

Vivian van Saaze is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University, where she co-founded and directs the Maastricht Centre for Arts, Culture and Conservation Heritage (MACCH). She serves as the programme director for the Master in Arts Heritage: Policy, Management Education and has been involved in collaborative research projects such as 'Collecting Performative,' which is a research network between Tate and Maastricht University, as well as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network focused on new approaches to conservation of contemporary art (NACCA). Currently, she leads the work package for the Terra Mosana project, which aims to investigate and digitize the shared history of the Meuse-Rhine Euregion. Before joining Maastricht University, she worked as a researcher at the Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage in Amsterdam, which is now known as the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands.
