Biography

Vladimir Sobota is a Lecturer in Strategy at the Adam Smith Business School. His research interests focus on management strategy and technological innovations, with a particular emphasis on platform ecosystems. He investigates positioning strategies of platform organizations and how they align with the varied interests of participants within ecosystems. His work studies how platforms can be leveraged to address significant societal challenges and how societal problem-orientation influences platform strategy and design. His expertise encompasses areas such as platform ecosystems, digitalization, technology innovation management, and strategic mobilization language. He has contributed to various reputable journals including Industrial Corporate Change, Technovation, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. Vladimir has also co-chaired a mini-track on 'Managing Platforms Ecosystems' at the 58th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences and previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology. He holds a Master’s degree in Management Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering.
