Biography

Vladimir Tsukruk is a Regents' Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the founding Director of the Microanalysis Center. He is a distinguished member of various academic bodies including the American Physical Society and the Materials Research Society. After earning a Master's degree in Molecular Physics from the National University of Ukraine and a PhD in Polymer Science from the National Academy of Sciences in Ukraine, he continued his post-doctoral research at various institutions including the University of Marburg and the University of Akron. With a robust academic output exceeding 400 refereed publications and five books, Tsukruk’s research predominantly explores the fields of surfaces, interfaces, and directed assembly of synthetic/natural polymers. Furthermore, he has been recognized with esteemed awards such as the Georgia Tech Outstanding Research Author Award and the Humboldt Research Award. His contributions to the academic community include serving as an Associate Editor for the ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces journal, where he continues to impact the field.
