Biography

Von Marie Rodríguez-Guzmán, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in behavioral health services within the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Behavioral Health Program. Dr. Rodríguez-Guzmán provides psychological treatment and mental health consultations in an integrated behavioral health setting in primary care. She earned her doctoral degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico and completed postdoctoral research fellowship focused on child and adolescent mental health at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her clinical training includes psychological services at the Hasbro Refugee Clinic and expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy at Bradley Hospital, as well as cognitive-behavioral treatments tailored for Latinx adolescents. Her research interests are centered on community resilience and the impact of cultural values, such as ethnic pride and family cohesion, on the post-trauma adjustment of the Latinx population.
