Biography

Wael Sabbah is a Senior Lecturer in Dental Public Health at King’s College London, where he has been a Course Lead for the MSc Dental Public Health program since October 2013. He holds a Ph.D. from University College London obtained in 2007, where he also worked as a Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor in Community Dentistry at Oregon Health & Science University. He has a Diploma in Dental Public Health from the University of Toronto and a BDS from the University of Alexandria. His research addresses critical topics such as social epidemiology, inequalities in oral and general health, and the relationship between oral health services and outcomes. Sabbah has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and is involved in multiple research grants including from the NIH, ESRC, and NHS. He has also supervised over 30 MSc and Ph.D. students across universities in the UK and USA. His work contributes to improving public health outcomes by reducing oral health inequalities and strengthening the organization of dental service delivery.
