Biography

Dr. Gotlieb obtained his MD summa cum laude in 1984 and PhD certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1991 at ULB in Belgium. After two years at the NIH, he received the National Cancer Institute Award for Outstanding Performance and completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at UCLA. In 1994, he co-founded the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at Tel Aviv University, conducting clinical research there until 2003, when he joined McGill University. Dr. Gotlieb possesses licenses to practice in Europe, Israel, California, and Canada, and he is the Project Director at the LDI Research Institute. A pioneer of robotic surgery in gynecologic oncology in Canada, he has lectured worldwide and trained surgeons in Canada, China, India, and Israel. He has received thirteen awards for his work in cancer research, published over 150 peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals, and contributed to numerous book chapters. Dr. Gotlieb has held several prestigious positions, including President of the Gynecologic Oncology Society of Canada and senior editor of the International Journal of Gynecologic Cancer. He completed an executive course in healthcare management at Harvard Business School.
