Biography

Professor Warwick J. McKibbin, AO, FASSA is a Distinguished Professor of Economics and Public Policy and the Director of the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University (ANU). He is a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington D.C. His expertise includes global economic modeling, monetary policy, and public economics, with a notable focus on climate change and financial institutions' role in international organizations. McKibbin has published more than 250 peer-reviewed academic papers and five books, and is recognized for his contributions to economic theory and public policy formulation. He served on the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia from 2001 to 2011 and has extensive advisory experience for governments and central banks. His research interests include Modeling the Global Economy, Pandemic Economics, and Climate Change among others. He holds a PhD from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the University of New South Wales.
