Dr. Watheq El Kharashi

Biography

M. Watheq El-Kharashi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Victoria. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Ain Shams University and his PhD from the University of Victoria. His research interests focus on the design and architecture of secure hardware, including advanced microprocessor design, systems-on-chip (SoC), and networks-on-chip (NoC). He is also involved in exploring multi-core systems and networking processing units (NPUs). His work contributes significantly to the fields of computer architecture and computer networks, pushing the boundaries of technology in electrical and computer engineering. El-Kharashi actively engages with students and colleagues to foster innovation and academic excellence in his department.
