Biography

Wayne Norman is the Mike Ruth Mackowski Distinguished Professor of Ethics in the Philosophy Department at Duke University. He received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics in 1988 and has since held various academic appointments and visiting roles across eight countries. His research primarily focuses on ethics in business and has been published in ten languages. Norman has served as a professor at institutions including the Université de Montréal, University of British Columbia, University of Ottawa, and the University of Western Ontario. Over his career, he has engaged in a wide array of philosophical discussions, particularly surrounding modern ethics and the moral responsibilities of individuals in economic contexts.
