Dr. Wei Chen

Biography

Wei Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Duke University, specializing in gastrointestinal pathology. He completed his residency in Pathology at Case Western Reserve University, focusing on Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and has completed multiple fellowships, including in Gastrointestinal Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh and Surgical Pathology at Brigham Women's Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Chen has been involved in various professional activities, including serving on the Awards Committee of the Rodger C. Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society and the Abstract Review Board for the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. His research interests include upper gastrointestinal cancers and precision pathology, reflecting a commitment to advancing the field through his involvement in the Cooperative Human Tissue Network and Duke's BioRepository. Dr. Chen is also engaged in educational activities, mentoring residents, and contributing to professional societies in the field of pathology.
