Dr. Wei Ng

Biography

Khim Ng is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics at Singapore University of Technology and Design, specializing in particle physics. He received both his Bachelor of Science with Honours and PhD in Physics from the National University of Singapore. With a passion for observing nature, he strives to explain observations and share knowledge, which led him to become a particle physicist and educator. Prior to joining SUTD, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Physics at the National University of Singapore. His research interests include theoretical phenomenology in high-energy physics, specifically neutrino physics and matter-antimatter asymmetry, as well as nuclear medical physics focusing on radiation-matter interactions and nuclear imaging. He also explores pedagogy, emphasizing effective physics education and assessment methods. Other areas of research include nonlinear quantum theory and the foundations and applications of quantum theory. Khim Ng has published several notable works in prestigious journals and has contributed to conferences and institutions focused on advancements in physics education and research. His analytical approach, combined with a commitment to teaching, underscores his roles both as a researcher and an educator. He is also an avid natural historian, reflecting his deep-rooted interest in understanding the complexities of the universe.
