Biography

Wei Wang earned his PhD in Work and Organizations from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Business Administration and as an Associate Fellow in Leadership Ethics at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. His research employs diverse methodologies to explore the dynamics of leadership ethics in organizations and the creation of inclusive and ethical workplaces. Dr. Wang was recognized as the 2019 Society for Business Ethics Emerging Scholar and received the 2022 Anne Tsui Care Research Award for his work aimed at making a difference in the lives of employees. He has published in leading journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Management and shares his research insights with a broader audience through media outlets like CBC, Canadian HR Reporter, and 680 CJOB. A lifelong educator, Dr. Wang is passionate about helping students thrive in the classroom. His dedication to teaching was recognized with the 2024 University of Manitoba Teaching Merit Award and the 2025 Associates' Award for Teaching. He co-directs the David Dreman Behavioural Management Lab since 2023. In addition to his research and teaching, he enjoys traveling the world, long-distance running, and exploring new restaurants.
