Biography

Prof. Weitao Yang is the Philip Handler Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Duke University, specializing in the development of methods for quantum mechanical calculations of large systems, including quantum mechanical/molecular mechanical (QM/MM) simulations of biological systems and nanostructures. His research includes linear scaling methods for electronic structure calculations and the simulation of chemical reactions in enzymes.
